Our Mission:
Equip
We give the impoverished hope, provision and the gospel.
As Border Missions looks forward to completing its 6th decade of service for the Lord Jesus Christ to the people along the US-Mexican border, the challenges are great. Drug cartel violence and economic uncertainties continue to place increased hardships on the people and upon the mission. Increased restrictions make it harder and harder for ministries to get food and clothing into Mexico.
In addition to providing aid on the ground, Border Missions also partners with other organizations and volunteers to coordinate efforts and maximize the impact of the ministry. As you include Border Missions in your prayers, please specifically ask that the monthly operating expenses be met. We know that God is able and that as His people yield themselves to Him through prayer the needs of the mission will be met.
Megan was born and raised in McAllen, TX. She is the great-granddaughter of Harold and Katherine Morgan, the founders of Border Missions. Megan has been visiting the Mission ever since she was a little girl and has many fond memories of serving there with her great-grandmother. She is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and been a part of many short-term missions trips all around the globe. Megan married Roland Gonzalez, Jr. in 2012. Roland is also a native of South Texas. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Thereafter, he received a Masters in Philosophy at Kings College London in the UK and a Masters of Religion at Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC. They both have a passion for missions and growing the Kingdom of God. As such, they both strive to be ecumenical and work together with a variety of churches on both sides of the border. They share three beautiful children together and thank God for all the many blessings He has given.
